Our 7-step process keeps your project on time and on budget

1. Initial Complimentary Consultation

Visit our office, or have us meet you at your project address. Tell us what you want to achieve and find out more about the work Kemp Construction does. Whether you have plans, or haven’t started yet, we’ll help you figure out the next step.

2. Design and Plan Your Project

Have a design or plan already? We can move on to Step 3. No design? Let us introduce you to a design team who can help you develop your ideas.

3. Pre-construction Agreement

During the design process, we will be working on the construction details with our trades, suppliers, consultants (if needed), and often, the municipality. Our pre-construction agreement confirms that we’ll take the next step together.

There can be considerable time needed to collect information that may impact your project; we may need to work with your designer on zoning, utilities, restrictions, and other factors that could influence your project. Signing the pre-construction agreement gets your project in the queue for construction.

4. Project Estimate

With completed design/architectural plans we can develop a detailed project estimate. Using our online project management system, we’ll tap into our network of high-quality trades and suppliers for pricing. At this point, we know what you want to accomplish and we work the budget to fit your needs.

5. Contract Signing and Project Planning

Once we’ve decided to work together, we confirm the budget and sign off the contract. Now the work can start to schedule the project, and line up our network of trades and suppliers. Communication throughout the project is key – we monitor the budget and schedule, and keep you informed every step of the way.

6. Project Management and Construction

We’ll establish the project manager for the job and introduce you to them. Then, we’ll orient you to our online project management system. No matter where you are, you’ll be able to keep up-to-date on the progress of your job.

7. Post Construction

We stand behind our workmanship with a 2-year warranty on renovations and the 2/5/10 warranty on custom homes. But we’ll never leave you – we’re only a phone call away. And we pride ourselves on our long-term relationships with our customers.
