With more than 30 years in the industry, Steve is passionate about building better homes and energy efficiency. As Senior Technical Advisor to the company, he shares that passion with his Partners keeping up to date with the latest building science and technology. Carmen Morales

Project Coordinator

Having been a successful business owner, Carmen understands the attention to detail required to see a project from vision to reality. As Project Coordinator, she is an integral part of our projects, supporting our construction team to ensure we deliver projects to plan and vision.

Carmen interacts with all our project stakeholders, ensuring we deliver to your specifications. For custom homes and renovations, Carmen works with our design partners, customers, sub trades and vendors to ensure we deliver to expectations. It’s a dynamic environment of scheduling, pricing, sourcing new suppliers, booking inspections and maintaining project financials.

Fun Fact: Originally from Texas, she calls Tsawwassen home but still has a big place in her heart for her Texas A &M teams.

Aimee Weaver

Keeper of the Books/Behind the Scenes

Aimee is the steady hand behind the numbers at Kemp, providing essential bookkeeping and financial support across both the company and its projects. With a background that spans design, project management, and small business ownership, she brings a rare, full-spectrum understanding of how projects come together—from concept to completion.

She began her career in construction as an Interior Designer in multi-family residential, before moving into commercial project management, where she was responsible for developing and overseeing large-scale budgets. Along the way, Aimee and her husband launched their own business, giving her hands-on experience in every aspect of running a company.

Today, she’s in her element—working with numbers, solving problems, and supporting the team behind the scenes. Her deep understanding of both the financials and the work itself makes her an invaluable resource. Simply put, if something comes up in the office, Aimee will figure it out.

Outside of work, Aimee is a busy mom of three, often found keeping up with the schedules (and energy levels) of her very active daughters.

Fun Fact: she’s hung up her parachute for now, but has fond memories of doing that in New Zealand.

David Kemp

Business Operations

David started with Kemp Construction on our first renovation of a downtown condo in 2006. Before returning to the business full time in 2022, David spent over a decade in commercial construction and development in a variety of roles from LEED Consulting for multi-family homes to the Director of Sales and Project Management for a commercial sub-contractor in Delta. He’s a proven leader that has always prioritized the customer experience. He’s passionate about ensuring we continually have the right knowledge, processes, and systems in place to deliver on our 8 Kemp Promises.

Fun Fact: David cycled to Ensenada, Baja Mexico from Nanaimo BC, to return to live aboard a 30’ sailboat in Victoria.

Debbie Kemp

Behind the Scenes

Deb is ‘Behind the Scenes’ on all aspects of the business from customer service, legal, finance, technology, marketing, human resources to company strategy. In her work, she gets familiar at a high level with all aspects of our projects. Deb would say ‘taking care’ of the people in the business gives her the most joy – getting to know the homeowners and their needs. Equally fun, is the creative part of her work that oversees the company marketing. A natural connector, she’s a relationship builder and values her time in our community.

Fun Fact: Deb loves to swim and so does the family dog and you can often see them swimming together when the tide is just right.
